Picture of Ricky Robertson      Our Featured Speaker for February 25 is Ricky Robertson, teach for trust.  Teach for trust is a movement to restore, repair,    and transform education one relationship at a time.  Ricky is an educator, author and consultant who has worked with alternative  and traditional schools within urban, suburban and semi-rural communities.  He provides coaching, consultation and multi-day  professional development workshops to build systems of support for students impacted by Adverse Childhood Experiences  (ACEs) and trauma, and the educators who work with them.  Ricky has a background in Restorative Justice/Practices, culturally  responsive teaching, LGBTQ+ student advocacy, and trauma-informed practices for teaching and behavior management.

Picture of Julie Weatherly, Esq.     Our Featured Speaker for February 26 is Julie Weatherly, Esq., founder of Resolutions in Special Education (RISE) Julie has    been working with school agencies in the area of special education since 1986. Julie is a graduate of Presbyterian College and      the University of Georgia School of Law. She is a member of the State Bars of Alabama and Georgia and provides consultative      and/or legal services to school agencies. In 1998, Julie was honored by Georgia CEC as Georgia's individual who had          Contributed Most to Students with Disabilities and was awarded the CASE Outstanding Service Award in 2012.
