Medicaid and Public Education Collaboration

March 22, 12:00-1:30 CST

A critical aspect of a successful school-based Medicaid claiming program includes a strong partnership between stakeholders including the Medicaid Agency and Public Education Department. It requires an understanding of the different responsibilities of each agency along with how each agency responsibilities may overlap. In addition, it requires a combined goal of improving program support and training for school districts and providers.

By the end of the session, participants will:

  1. Understand the contractual obligations between the State Medicaid Agency and Public Education Department
  2. Determine liaison and structure of support between agencies
  3. Discuss and outline overlapping training objectives and policy guidance
