Seclusion & Restraint

As you know, Seclusion and Restraint of students with disabilities has been in the headlines this past week.  Dr. Deb Ziegler, CEC Policy Unit, has been on television and radio on this issue.  Dr. Mary Kealy, President-Elect, submitted written testimony to the House Education and Labor Committee prior to their hearing on the topic on May 19, 2009.The CASE Policy and Legislative Committee and CASE leadership have been working on this issue all week.

CASE Executive Director Purcell will be joining other education associational executives/members at the White House on May 26 for a discussion on this topic.  The CASE leadership would like to hear from as many of our members as possible through the following survey.

Thank you for your time on such a quick turn around but as you know, issues can come up quickly on the political horizon!
