CASE PROFESSIONAL LEARNING SCHOLARSHIP
The Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE) is proud to offer our members the CASE Professional Learning Scholarship, designed to support and empower special education leaders in their pursuit of continuous growth and excellence. This scholarship provides financial assistance for professional learning opportunities that enhance leadership capacity, promote equitable practices, and drive improved outcomes for students with disabilities. At CASE, we believe in investing in our members—when leaders grown, so does their impact! This professional learning scholarship is for up to $1,000. The application is due by September 15, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a current CASE Member. If you aren't a member, join CASE here.
- Must be employed in a role supervising special education programs or preparing future special education leaders (e.g., Directors, Supervisors, or Higher Education faculty).
- Scholarships are available only for CASE-hosted events and will cover registration costs only (not travel or lodging).
- Recipients may only be awarded this scholarship once.
Requirements
- Application Form: Complete an application form, which includes a narrative outlining the benefits of how this financial support will enhance the individual's professional growth and career, and includes a summary of your involvement in professional learning at the local, state, and national level.
- Professional Resume: Submit a professional resume. Applicants must be currently employed in a role supervising special education programs (i.e., Director of Special Education; Special Education Leadership, etc.), or in a Higher Education position focused on preparing special education teachers and/or leaders.
- Recommendation Letter: Submit one letter of recommendation attesting to the applicant’s commitment to their professional growth in special education administration.
Selection Process
- Applications will be evaluated using a scoring rubric aligned to CASE’s strategic priorities and application responses.
- A minimum score will be required for funding consideration.
- Applications will be reviewed and scored using the rubric provided. Funds must be used by the end of the school-year when the scholarship is awarded.
