CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Call for ProposalsThe Council of Administrators of Special Education invites you to submit a proposal to present a concurrent session for The 2026 CASE Conference, taking place November 11-13, 2026, in Providence, Rhode Island.

Presentation Format

Concurrent sessions must be 60 minutes in length and may be delivered as: 
  • A structured presentation with embedded Q&A
  • A panel discussion
  • An interactive session that actively engages participants in a specific activity
Presentations must be 60 minutes of structured content with embedded time for Q&A, a panel presentation, or an interactive session engaging attendees in a specific activity.
 

Proposal Expectations

All submitted session proposals should:
  • Provide actionable, relevant content for special education leaders
  • Address an innovative solution to a challenge in special education
  • Reflect topics that are important and timely to the field of special education

Important Dates
Call for Proposals      January 19, 2026
Proposals Due   March 16, 2026
Proposal Review Begins   March 17, 2026
Presenters Notified   May 15, 2026
Last Day for Presenters to Register   July 31, 2026

 

Submission Selection Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on:
  • Clear alignment with one or more conference strands
  • Strong alignment between the learner objectives and session description
  • The extent to which the session offers an innovative, action-oriented solution relevant to special education leadership 
  • Overall quality of the proposal
  • Breadth and balance of topics across the full conference program

Submission Requirements

All proposals must include:
  • A proposed session title aligned to the conference strand 
  • Names of all presenters and co-presenters 
  • Brief bios for all presenters and co-presenters
  • A session abstract/description
  • Three clearly defined learner objectives

Presenter Responsibilities 

  • All accepted presenters and co-presenters must register and pay for the conference before the end of the early bird registration (July 31, 2026). Failure to register by this date may result in the cancelation of your session.
  • Conference fee cancellation policy: written requests for refunds (less a 25% administrative fee) must be provided by September 30, 2026. No refunds will be issued after this date. 
  • Presenters are responsible for bringing laptops and any necessary adapters to connect to LCD projectors. 

Submissions from Corporate Partners

CASE values its corporate partners and encourages participation through exhibiting and sponsorship opportunities. Corporate partners are also welcome to collaborate with school district leaders on session proposals that align with conference strands and priorities.
